10/10/2024- 2247 hours: Crews responded to the area of 12300 Williamsport Pike for a vehicle accident with rollover and ejection. Arriving to a single auto on its roof after striking an embankment and utility pole, personnel secured hazards and assisted with patient packaging and movement. Ambulance 3-9 and Washington County PM75-9 each transported one occupant to Meritus Medical Center.
10/19/2024- 1030 hours: Engine 3-2 to 236 Prospect Avenue in Hagerstown to assist with a dwelling fire, completing secondary water supply connections and operating from a near-by hydrant for the incident duration- about two hours.
10/22/2024- 1943 hours: Units responded for a carbon monoxide detector sounding- 12865 Gearhart Road. Crews metered and ventilated the residence with no cause found, returning later to work with Franklin County HAZMAT personnel to determine the source. Apparently linked to the building HVAC, that system was secured and ventilation completed before units cleared.
10/24/2024- 0924 hours: RHC responded to the intersection of Hollowell Church and Leitersburg Roads for a personal injury collision, arriving to two autos- one blocking a travel lane and the other off the roadway. Squad crew established traffic control, assisted EMS and applied absorbent to vehicle fluids. Ambulances 3-9 and 2-7 each transported to Meritus Medical Center and units were available in one hour.
10/25/2024- 0721 hours: Box 3-08 alerted for a barn fire at 6569 Angle Road, Antrim Township. First arriving units located a smoldering fire in the ceiling of a large egg production facility. Crews made access, segregated the area, checked for extension and wet down the material- clearing in an hour.
10/25/2024- 0828 hours: Units alerted on Box 3-02 for a commercial building fire at 10840 John Wayne Drive- The Wash House Laundromat. Arriving to smoke in that portion of the building, teams pulled ceiling tiles, worked hand lines, checked for extension to other areas and ventilated before clearing. Engine Tanker 3 remained to assist with the investigation, returning to service in ninety minutes.
10/26/2024- 1303 hours: Brush 3 and Washington County Company 13 responded to the area of Mason Dixon and Daley Roads for a brush fire, locating the fire north of the dispatched location along the Norfolk Southern right-of-way. Crews extinguished and overhauled the area before clearing in about thirty minutes.
10/30/2024- 0230 hours: RHC and Washington County Company 13 responded for a vehicle accident on Interstate 81 northbound, locating the auto and tractor-trailer incident near mile marker 1. Crews- including Fire Police from multiple agencies- provided scene support and traffic control to Pennsylvania State Police and Franklin County agencies until the roadway re-opened after a 4.5 hour closure.
