COLLISIONS, TRANSFER AND FIRES

01/11/2025- 1912 hours: RHC responded to the area of 1580 State Line Road for a vehicle into a utility pole, arriving to no injuries for transport but electric hazards on scene. While apparatus quickly cleared, Fire Police remained for two hours until West Penn Power secured the wires.

01/10/2025- 0611 hours: Engine 3-1 transferred to Washington County Company 5 (Hancock) as their crews worked a dwelling fire in Morgan County, WV, returned to service in 3.5 hours.

01/08/2025- 2031 hours: Engine Tanker 3 and Engine 3-2 assisted Company 8 (Marion) with a commercial building fire at 4599 Molly Pitcher Highway South, Guilford Township. Units located extension to the interior with RHC crews set-up for water supply and staging before being released by Command.

01/08/2025- 0641 hours: Engine 3-2 to 11426 Claylick Road to assist Company 9 (Mercersburg) with a shed fire, its crew staging until placed in service.

01/07/2025- 0518 hours: Company 3 and Washington County 13 responded to Interstate 81 southbound in the area of mile marker 3 for a vehicle collision involving multiple tractor trailers. Arriving to two semis on the right shoulder and a ribbon of damaged guardrail in the median and travel lane, crews established lane control, checked for other hazards confirmed no injuries. Units remained on scene- approximately forty-five minutes- until PennDOT removed the obstruction.
