CRASHES and a BUILDING FIRE

09/01/2024- 1709 hours: RHC responded for an auto and motorcycle collision in the area of 14209 Molly Pitcher Highway South. Crews arrived to one car on the shoulder and a motorcycle and its rider in the southbound travel lane at the intersection with Milnor Road East, assisted EMS with patient treatment/packaging and secured a fuel leak. Washington County Paramedic 75-9 transported to Meritus Medical Center and Fire Police remained until the roadway was cleared.

09/03/2024- 0921 hours: Squad 3 and Ambulance 3-8 to State Line Road near Trolley Road for a vehicle accident with entrapment. With the occupant self-extricated upon arrival, personnel checked for hazards from the heavily damaged SUV and found the animal that was struck. With no transports, units cleared in forty minutes.

09/03/2024- 1325 hours: Company 3 and Washington County 13 responded for a motorcycle accident on Mason Dixon Road at South Young Road. Units found an electric bike rider down in the travel lane after contact with a delivery vehicle. Ambulance 3-9 and Medic 23-31 took the rider to Meritus Medical Center and the apparatus went available in thirty minutes.

09/06/2024- 1224 hours: RHC to the area of 9020 Lindale Avenue for a vehicle collision, arriving to two vehicles and an occupant confined. Crews made access and packaged two for transport to Meritus Medical Center via Ambulances 3-8 and 3-9. Fire Police and Squad 3's crew were assisted with traffic control by Antrim Township personnel, all units clearing in forty-five minutes.

09/06/2024- 2049 hours: Squad 3 and Engine 3-2 to assist Company 24 (Waynesboro) with fire in an apartment building- 52 East Fifth Street. Crews provided rapid intervention team coverage then were assigned other tasks including utilities, overhaul and checks for extension/hot spots. Company 3 units returned in about 3.5 hours.
