CRASHES AND BUILDING FIRES

04/18/2025- 1037 hours: Squad 3 assisted Company 9 (Mercersburg) with a land rescue at 8069 Corner Road, Montgomery Township. Subject was removed and packaged with Squad clearing in less than one hour.

04/14/2025- 1430 hours: Box 3-04 alerted for smoke in the building at 39 East Baltimore Street- H&R Block. Personnel concluded a lengthy search source for its origin in the three-story mixed-use occupancy, ventilated and cleared in 1.5 hours. Greencastle Police and Fire Police provided scene and traffic control.

04/13/2025- 0330 hours: Engine Tanker 3 and Engine 3-2 assisted Washington County Company 4 (Clear Spring) with a dwelling fire- 13112 Rockdale Road. Crew performed extension checks and overhaul before returning to service 2.5 hours.

04/12/2025- 1130 hours: RHC to the area of 15642 North Pennsylvania Avenue in State Line for an auto accident. Crews arrived to a three-vehicle rear end collision, cleared debris and turned the scene over to Fire Police. EMS transported on occupant to Chambersburg Hospital.

04/10/2025- 1331 hours: Company 3 and 8 responded to Interstate 81 mile marker 5.5 southbound for a personal injury collision, arriving to four tractor-trailers and one occupant for transport. Crews cleared debris, with PennDOT responding with sand to mitigate a large fluid spill on the roadway. Fire Police remained to assist Pennsylvania State Police and towing companies. clearing in for 3.5 hours.
