FIRES, CRASH.. AND DINNER

02/06/2025- 1635 hours: Box 3-28 alerted for smoke from a multiple family dwelling at the intersection of Moss Spring Avenue and Brookview Drive. An interstate passer-by noted smoke in that area and believed it was coming from the townhouses. Crews investigated, located a smoker being used for food preparation to the rear of one of the buildings and placed units in service. No update available on how the meal turned out.

02/05/2025- 0651 hours: Crews were alerted to the area of Leitersburg and McDowell Roads for a brush fire, locating an outside fire to the rear of a storage building at 916 Leitersburg. Engine 3-1, Engine Tanker 3 and Washington Brush 27 extinguished the burn pile and cleared in one hour.

01/29/2025- 1207 hours: Company 3 units responded for a brush fire to the rear of 3191 Williamson Road and arrived to wind driven fire- the result of a broken utility pole and downed electric lines- approaching the residence and an agriculture/equipment storage building. Flames were contained until West Penn Power confirmed the wires were no longer energized, then personnel completed extinguishment and mop-up.

01/28/2025- 1144 hours: RHC to the intersection of West Baltimore Street and North Antrim Way for a vehicle collision. Crews mitigated hazards and provided traffic control until the roadway was cleared- about twenty minutes.

01/25/2025- 2124 hours: With crews already assisting with fire in a chimney, Box 3-04 was alerted for a dwelling fire at 220 Jopa Road in Greencastle. Arriving to smoke from a second floor window, personnel quickly extinguished the fire and contained damage to one room. Units were in service in an hour.
