OCTOBER- WEEK 1

10/02/2024-1157 hours: RHC responded for fire contained in a grain roaster at 30 East Walter Avenue, Farmers Co-Operative. Crew confirmed conditions with no exposure issues and worked with employees to remove and wet down the materials from the bin. Units returned to service in about an hour.

10/05/2024- 1521 hours: Apparatus from Company 3, Washington County Company 13 and 75 responded to Interstate 81 northbound near mile marker 3 for a personal injury collision. Arriving to multiple vehicles in the median and on the shoulder, crews secured the travel lane and sorted through hazards and occupants requesting transport from the scene. Ambulance 3-7 transported two of those involved to Meritus Medical Center and WC PM75-2 checked the others involved who refused additional care.

Apparatus cleared in twenty minutes. Fire Police remained to assist Pennsylvania State Police until the three vehicles were removed about fifty minutes later.

10/07/2024- 1345 hours: RHC alerted for a fluid spill at the intersection of Molly Pitcher Highway South and South Carlisle Street. Personnel arrived to a two vehicle property damage accident with one auto blocking the northbound lanes, the other off the roadway and a large debris field across MPH. Traffic control was established, obtained confirmation of no EMS needs and absorbent was applied to spilled vehicle fluids. Debris was removed from the travel lanes and the scene cleared after about an hour.
